This is where I come in. In past years, I've officially challenged other beadmakers to make and donate a certain number of beads. We're starting early this year, instead of waiting for January.
I'm asking for a few more beads, but giving you a lot more time to make them!
There's a form below to sign up, but please read this first!

As a Challenge Participant, you pledge to make 100 small bracelet beads,
and send them in before May 1st, 2008. That deadline gives the team enough time to sort the beads and get them ready to go to Yetebon. Get your beads in on time, and you'll be in the drawing for some really great prizes. I've only just started collecting the prizes, and will post pictures here as they come in.  At least one will be a bead from me!

This year the beads do not need to be in sets!  It's easier than ever to participate. Just make 100 small, bracelet-sized beads, in any style you like or do particularly well.  Use the time you spend on these to try new ideas and be creative. No two need to be alike, and they all get mixed up and sorted into "sets" by the volunteers later. So relax and have fun with these!  Spacers are also needed and welcomed, as are silver spacers, but you need the 100 small, fancy beads to be in the Challenge!

I've made a deal with myself, to keep me motivated. Every time I go to the studio, the first bead I make each day is a HOPE Bead. I also make two spacers to go with it. After starting my day "for someone else", the rest of it goes so much better. And the beads add up fast with no big bites out of my time!

     I really HOPE you'll join me in this. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to be involved!

Please be sure to include a DONATION FORM form when you mail your beads .  The address is on the form and be sure to indicate that you are a member of the Challenge, as well.  In return, you will receive a letter you can use to save you some $$$ on next year's income tax!
